On 30 March 2026, in Kraków, Ala Sinkevich, President of the Management Board of Alingua, and Piotr Kolasa, Founder and CEO of Diuna AI & Language Services, signed an agreement under which Alingua officially became a part of Diuna Group. This marks a new chapter in our company’s history and a good opportunity to tell you what this change means in practice.
Continuity first
Our customers and associates are most likely to ask themselves: will anything change? The answer is simple: Alingua remains Alingua. We retain our brand, our organisational structure, and – most importantly – the team that has spent years building the relationships and standards we are proud of.
Our customers can expect the same level of service, seamless communication, and punctuality they are used to. Our translators and associates, in turn, gain the stability of long-term cooperation and access to a broader range of projects – as part of a larger group, we can offer more.
Get to know Diuna AI & Language Services
Diuna AI & Language Services, also known as Diuna Group, is one of the largest groups operating in the language services industry in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. Since its founding in 2009, the company has consistently expanded its offering: from specialised translations, through localisation of digital products and content and conference interpreting, to modern language data services for artificial intelligence.
In 2026, the company formally rebranded to Diuna AI & Language Services, reflecting its strategic orientation towards the intersection of linguistics and artificial intelligence. Such companies as Intertext, eParole, and Yellow belong to the group – each with its own specialisation and established market position.
The key strength of Diuna lies in its AI-driven language data solutions: delivering high-quality language datasets, data annotation, validation, and multilingual data processing. The company supports projects for e-commerce businesses, advanced technology manufacturers, including the automotive, consumer electronics, and IoT sectors, as well as enterprise platforms operating in data and cloud domains.
A strategic move on Poland’s business map
The acquisition of Alingua is not only an expansion of Diuna Group’s service portfolio – it is also a significant strategic step. Kraków, alongside Warsaw and Wrocław, is one of Poland’s strongest hubs for modern business services, IT, and data analytics. Hundreds of SSC, GBS, and BPO companies operate in the city, together employing around 100,000 professionals. This scale translates directly into a growing need for comprehensive linguistic support and language data management services for AI solutions.
With this acquisition, Diuna AI & Language Services completes its operational presence in Poland’s three largest business hubs. Piotr Kolasa emphasises that Kraków, much like Wrocław used to, represents a market with strong potential in both traditional language services and AI-ready language data – and that Alingua brings mature operational capabilities and unique know-how about the local market to the group.
A consistent consolidation strategy
The acquisition of Alingua is the latest stage in Diuna Group’s long-term consolidation strategy. Earlier transactions, namely eParole (2020), Yellow (2024), and Intertext (2025), systematically strengthened the group’s presence beyond Warsaw and expanded its competencies in sectors requiring superior quality standards. Each step has been deliberate, driven by a single vision: creating a strong, integrated player in the language services and language data market across the CEE region.
It is worth noting that Diuna Group signals it is no longer actively seeking additional translation-focused acquisitions in Poland. The target presence on the domestic market has been achieved and the group’s attention is now turning towards the United States, as well as potential deals with technology companies specialising in data and AI.
A new chapter, the same story
For customers of both Alingua and Diuna, the acquisition means access to an expanded service offer. In practice, this includes a full range of language and localisation services delivered across Poland’s three major business hubs, support for projects requiring high compliance and impeccable quality standards, AI-oriented language data services – from dataset creation, through annotation and validation, to multilingual projects – and greater operational scalability through a larger team and uniform standards.
Joining Diuna AI & Language Services is above all an opportunity for growth – new projects, new possibilities, new markets. The foundations, however, remain unchanged: the same team, the same values, and the same commitment to quality that has defined our work for years.
