It is the official language of South and North Korea, and Korean speakers are scattered all over the globe: the Korean minority lives mainly in the US, China, Japan and Russia. Although Korean is heavily influenced by Chinese, its origin continues to be debated. Currently, it is most often classified as an isolated language, i.e. one that does not belong to any language group and is not related to other languages. It has quite a few regional dialects, and the main differences occur between the North Korean and the South Korean variety. Although it is still a relatively unpopular language in Poland, there is a growing interest in learning Korean among young people, and some Polish universities already offer Korean studies.
South Korea is characterised by rapid economic growth, especially in the area of modern technologies and state-of-the-art electronic equipment. It is in Korea that tech giants such as Samsung and LG were created. Another strength of the Korean economy is the automotive industry: Korean car brands such as Hyundai and Kia have been well known and highly valued globally for years. South Korea is also becoming more and more popular as a tourist destination, and distributors of cosmetic products bring high-quality Korean cosmetics to Poland. The growing interest of Poles on Korea may have arisen from the “Korean wave”: the global expansion of Korean popular culture, or the spread of Korean music, films and series, literature and fashion in the Western world. Exports of goods from Poland to Korea include mainly machinery and electrical and mechanical devices, as well as agricultural and food products.

The undisputed popularity of products from Korea leads to an increase of demand for Korean translations in many industries. Our offer includes not only standard translations from Korean and to Korean, but also specialised translation of marketing content, such as product labels or websites. In order to get the most attractive results, we encourage you to use additional language services: proofreading and native speaker editing, thanks to which your text will sound natural and attractive.
The trade between Poland and Korea usually requires meticulously translated technical documentation. For our clients, we often translate manuals, product sheets, exposure scenarios and project documentation. Long-term clients are guaranteed attractive rates and terminological consistency of translations provided by computer-aided translation tools (CAT).
It is not uncommon that timely delivery and short deadlines are as important as the quality of translation. In such cases, we can engage several translators and coordinate their work to complete the order as soon as possible, while maintaining high quality and terminological consistency. Express translation means up to a dozen standard pages on the same or the next day, and if necessary, we are able to deliver a translation of several dozen or even several hundred pages in a few days.
Although we usually translate from Korean to Polish or vice versa, translations from Korean into English are also very popular. If you need a translation in a different, less common language pair, please contact Alingua Customer Support: our consultants will answer all your questions and prepare an offer tailored to your needs.
