Norwegian

Scandinavian countries, although located in relatively close vicinity to Poland, seem culturally more distant than the Czech Republic, Germany, or even France. And although you can freely use English in any Scandinavian country – as many people who have chosen the North as a destination of emigration are aware – there are situations when it is necessary to translate from Norwegian. Two types of Norwegian written standards have been accorded official status in Norway: Bokmål (literally: the language of books) and Nynorsk (literally: the new Norwegian). Although both have equal status, only 10% of Norwegians use the latter variation.

Translations from Polish into Norwegian in business

Norway, as a country with a stable, strong economy and one highly open to foreign trade, is an excellent market for Polish exports. An additional element which is conducive to cooperation is the well-developed infrastructure, allowing for efficient trade. Polish companies mainly export vehicles and ships and their components, as well as mechanical and electrical commodities; bilateral trade mainly includes base metals and base metal products. Norway’s export hit is salmon and other fish which are eagerly imported to Poland. Although in many cases, English is the prevailing language of trade, translations from Norwegian to Polish and from Polish to Norwegian are sometimes necessary – especially when they are required by law.

Specialised Norwegian translations

In the Alingua translation agency, we offer Norwegian translations in any specialisation. Our team consists of people with extensive experience and education in various fields, which is why we always select translation contractors depending on the requirements of every order. For companies, we usually translate documents: contracts, regulations, company statutes, protocols, and financial reports. Technical and medical translations are equally popular: product specifications, labels, safety data sheets, exposure scenarios, drug leaflets, or informed consent forms. If you need a certified document, sworn translators with the authority to prepare official texts will prepare it for you. Translations signed and sealed by a sworn translator may be submitted to offices and all state institutions.

Express translation

When you need translations from Norwegian or into Norwegian in the shortest possible time – because of a visit to Poland or because you must take care of an pressing administrative matter, or you urgently need translations of documents that may make or break your company in negotiations – feel free to use the express Polish to Norwegian translation (or vice versa) service. With express translation, you will receive up to a dozen pages of translation on the same day, and several dozen the following day. If need be, we will divide the document between several translators and coordinate their work so that the documents you need are ready on time.

Marketing translations in Norwegian

When preparing marketing translations for our clients, we also involve native speakers of a given language in the project to give the final touch to the target text. Thanks to this, it sounds as natural to the recipient as content written directly in their native language, which is most persuasive to the reader.

Translation between foreign languages

Many of our clients who operate on international markets choose translations from Norwegian to English or vice versa: such orders are as popular as translations in combination with Polish. We are happy to translate between any foreign language for you: please contact our Customer Support to find the offer best suited to your needs.
